Challenge

After several years without having a Customer Summit, KANA decided to restart the event, and make it bigger and better than ever. They wanted a unifying theme and brand design that would coordinate all pre-event and on-site promotions.

Solution

We developed an event logo that could be easily updated each year. We also created an event theme (From here you can see customers forever) to highlight both the company’s focus on the lifetime value of a customer and the San Jose venue. The event’s branding fit within a simple set of existing KANA brand guidelines, and was applied to a wide variety of pre-event and on-site promotions.

The story behind the work

 

The KANA Customer Summit is an annual company-sponsored users meeting that needed a brand to build awareness and recognition, while allowing each annual event to have its own unique identity. We developed an event logo that could be used every year and modified with the event location and date. Each year’s event had its own individual theme, driven by the critical business issue of the day. In this example, the “lifetime value of a customer” was the business issue of the day. We developed a theme to speak to that message, and used an image of a hiker overlooking San Jose to say — come to San Jose to learn how to create lifetime customers.
